Here more about: DETOXING SHAMPOO - AGAVE, SPIRULINA & ROSEMARY
foaming:
Proper lathering is important: first lather the bar properly in your hands and then spread the lather over your scalp. Especially if you tend to have greasy hair, we do not recommend applying the bar straight away. This not only saves you product because the foam is sufficient, but also ensures that washing out is successful.
washing out:
We recommend washing the hair at least twice after use, even three times if necessary. Isn't that a waste of water? No! Your scalp & hair will get used to the new washing process. Since our bars contain no additives such as parabens, silicones or fragrances, your scalp will be less greasy, so you will soon have to wash your hair less often.
Can I combine the Detox Hair Soap with a shampoo or conditioner?
Not necessary: Less is more! We recommend using our Detox Bar as a shampoo substitute. Many shampoos put a strain on the scalp and hair roots. This leads to skin irritation and weighs down hair and hair growth.
This is exactly where our hair & scalp care comes in. In contrast to a regular shampoo, our solid hair soap frees deposits on the scalp thanks to spirulina and provides hair roots with necessary vitamins.
Find your washing techniques
We have put together a few washing techniques for you so that you can find the right Viva Maia technique:
1. Lather up the hair soap in your hands before use
Recommended for all hair types
- Wash your hair thoroughly
- Lather the soap in your hands and apply the foam directly to the hairline and apply to the hair in stroking movements
- Continue to lather with your hands and work the whole head like that
- Use your hands as a comb instead of just piling your hair up and mixing it up. This avoids knots and protects the hair.
- Rinse several times with warm water
- At the end, rinse out with cold water, this closes the hair structure
2. Direct application of hair soap
Recommended for dry hair and scalp
- Wash your hair thoroughly
- Apply the hair soap directly to the hairline and apply to the hair in stroking movements
- Lather up with your hands and work the whole head in this way, especially around the ears and neck area
- Use your hands as a comb instead of just piling your hair up and mixing it up. This avoids knots and protects the hair.
- Rinse several times with warm water
- At the end, rinse out with cold water, this closes the hair structure
3. Indirect application of hair soap
Recommended for oily hair & scalp
- Cut off the mini bar of soap and dissolve in warm water, e.g. the solution can be stored in a mason jar
- Distribute the liquid evenly over wet hair and lather up properly with your hands
- Work especially on the neck area
- Repeat the process and rinse thoroughly with warm water several times
- At the end, rinse out with cold water, which closes the hair structure.
4. Washing technique for long hair
Recommended for shoulder length hair
- From a certain hair length, washing the scalp is recommended, for this the hair must be dripping wet
- Apply the hair soap with the same technique as under 1. However, only lather the scalp
- It is not necessary to lather the hair soap in the lengths and ends, because the foam that runs over the hair when rinsing it out is completely sufficient
- Rinse your hair with warm water until it squeaks at the roots
- At the end, rinse out with cold water, this closes the hair structure
- For even more suppleness, an acid rinse is recommended once or twice a month
Help with stingy, greasy hair: "Acid Rinse"
This method can be used 1-2 times a month.
It is particularly suitable if you have hard water, because then your hair can become stringy more often.
Natural Sour Rinse:
- 1 liter of filtered water
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
After washing your hair with the rinse, rinse your hair and let the liquid work in for a short time. Then rinse thoroughly with cold water. If necessary, rinse again with the shampoo.
