How to use

AM / PM Cleanse

Use your Cleansing Bar (Step 1 – Cleanse) morning and evening: in the morning as your first step, and at night to remove sunscreen, makeup, and buildup. Start daily and adjust as needed. If your skin feels irritated or sensitive, pause for a few days, then restart less often.

Tone - Soothing Toner

Use daily in the morning and if you don’t use another toner, in the evening as well. Apply to clean skin and gently massage in with your hands.

Treat - Regenerating Serum

Use daily, morning and evening. Apply on slightly damp skin. Gently massage into face and neck, and avoid touching your skin with the pipette.

What is the Barrier Protection Routine designed for?

This routine is all about helping the skin feel stronger and more comfortable again. It focuses on supporting the skin barrier, reducing moisture loss and calming skin that feels stressed, reactive or easily irritated. It’s especially helpful when the skin is dealing with cold weather, dryness or general sensitivity.

Who is the Barrier Protection Routine suitable for?

The routine works for all skin types, but it’s particularly well suited for dry, sensitive or mature skin, and for skin that struggles in winter. If your skin feels tight, reacts easily, shows redness or just doesn’t seem to hold onto moisture very well, this routine is a good fit.

Can I use the Barrier Protection Routine every day?

Yes. The products are gentle enough to be used morning and evening. The routine is designed for regular, long-term use and supports the skin without overwhelming it or causing irritation over time.

What is the difference between the 3-Step and the 4-Step Barrier Protection Routine?

The 3-Step version keeps things simple, focusing on cleansing, calming and regeneration with a cleansing bar, Soothing Toner and Regenerating Serum. It’s a good choice if you prefer a minimal routine or if your skin is very sensitive. The 4-Step version adds the Radiating Cream, which helps seal in moisture and adds extra comfort and protection. Both aim to support the skin barrier, the 4-Step option just offers a little more cushioning and nourishment.

Are the products in this bundle dermatologically tested?

Yes. All Viva Maia products are dermatologically tested.

Bundles that include the Regenerating Serum and Hydrating Toner contain products that have been independently tested by Dermatest. Both the Regenerating Serum and the Hydrating Toner received the dermatological rating “very good”.

The Regenerating Serum was tested in a clinical application study under dermatological supervision. No relevant skin reactions, irritations, or allergic responses (contact dermatitis) were observed.

The Hydrating Toner was tested in a controlled patch test on participants with sensitive skin and showed no irritative reactions.

When used as intended, the products are considered very well tolerated and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. If your skin is extremely reactive, we recommend introducing the products gradually and increasing frequency once your skin tolerates them well.
