We are not just a skincare company, we support what we believe in. For us, that is Mexican skincare!

Driven by this passion, we merge Mexican wisdom with modern science. We don't simply create effective skincare products; we also support local farming and safeguard native plants and knowledge.

Viva Maia combines Mexican plant medicine and craftsmanship with latest science and insights about ingredients and their benefits for our skin. These processes are safeguarded as company secrets, constituting the primary catalyst for the unparalleled effectiveness of our products.

Honest about our impact

Most of our products are made in Mexico, in a plant that generates more solar electricity than it uses. We package them in glass, aluminium and kraft paper, and fund the recovery of more than five times as much plastic waste as we place on the market. Our biggest challenge is transport, and we are moving our products step by step from air to sea freight.

Story

From Mexico to Europe: a skincare adventure

In 2021, a unique fusion of cultures and passions gave birth to Viva Maia, founded by Herbert, hailing from Mexico, and Verena, from Germany. Their shared vision was to introduce the richness of Mexican botanical heritage to the European skincare scene, blending traditional remedies with modern science.

Ingredients

Rooted in Mexico, backed by science

Every Viva Maia formulation contains at least one Mexican ingredient, such as tepezcohuite, achiote, jícama or cacao. Many of these plants are native to Mexico and have been part of skincare there for generations.

We combine them with modern science: every ingredient is natural or of natural origin, and chosen because research supports its benefits for the skin. The result is skincare with a distinctly Mexican touch, right in your bathroom.
